1:43 ヨーロピアン・ミナルディ PS01B フェルナンド・アロンソ F1日本GP 2001

フェルナンド・アロンソ選手がF1デビューを果たした2001年シーズン。その最終戦となるF1日本グランプリで彼がドライブしたミナルディ「PS01B」を、世界で初めて1/43スケールでモデル化しました。

サムライ文化を愛することで知られるアロンソ選手。彼にとって初の日本レースとなったこの鈴鹿では、“THE RISE OF SAMURAI”と呼ぶにふさわしい、鋭く力強いオーバーテイクを披露しました。

特に印象的だったのは、1コーナーでオリビエ・パニス選手（BARホンダ）を果敢に追い抜いたシーン。当時はDRSもなく、アロンソ選手のミナルディは明らかに非力なマシンでしたが、鈴鹿スペシャルと呼ばれた高出力エンジンを搭載したパニス選手に対して、一歩も引かぬ走りで挑みました。

モデルのパッケージには、そのオーバーテイクシーンを写した写真を使用。また、このモデルはシーズン後半に投入されたBスペック「PS01B」を、世界で初めてスケールモデル化したものとなります。

1:43 EUROPEAN MINARDI PS01B FERNANDO ALONSO JAPANESE GP 2001

This is the world’s first 1/43 scale model car to faithfully recreate the Minardi PS01B, driven by Fernando Alonso in the final round of his F1 debut season—the 2001 Japanese Grand Prix.

Alonso, known for his deep appreciation of samurai culture, delivered a performance at Suzuka that could only be described as “The Rise of Samurai.” In his first-ever race in Japan, he demonstrated sharp and fearless overtaking skills that left a lasting impression.

One of the most iconic moments came at Turn 1, where Alonso boldly overtook Olivier Panis in the BAR-Honda. Despite driving the underpowered Minardi—without the benefit of DRS at the time—he chased down and passed Panis, whose car was equipped with the powerful “Suzuka Special” engine.

The model’s packaging features a photograph capturing this dramatic overtaking scene. This release also marks the world’s first miniature replica of the B-spec PS01B that Minardi introduced in the latter half of the season.
